Test Automation Engineer- Networking background is a must

Accountabilities: Design, develop, maintain, and scale automated testing solutions and test tools for security and networking products.

Take end-to-end ownership of test strategy for assigned product components and contribute to the quality of software releases.

Develop and maintain backend services and automation utilities using Python, with Django and Flask where applicable.

Contribute to API development, system integrations, debugging, and application performance improvements.

Work with Vue.js applications to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize frontend components.

Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schemas, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, data integrity, and scalability.

Support development, testing, and deployment activities in cloud and virtualized environments such as OpenStack or comparable platforms.

Investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement robust fixes and automated regression coverage.

Apply networking and cybersecurity knowledge when testing firewall and security functionality, including relevant TCP/IP, routing, and switching scenarios.

Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve test coverage, automation scalability, product reliability, and development workflows.

Requirements:

Strong professional experience developing applications and automation solutions using Python.

Hands-on experience with Django and Flask and a solid understanding of modern web application architectures.

Strong networking fundamentals are essential , including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.

Practical understanding of firewall products, security testing, and cybersecurity concepts is highly valuable.

Experience working with PostgreSQL, including database design, SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Working knowledge of Vue.js and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize frontend applications.

Experience with cloud, virtualization, or simulation environments such as OpenStack or similar technologies.

Strong problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Ability to take ownership of technical challenges, work independently, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus.

A B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Candidates should be comfortable working from Pune; relocation may be required for candidates currently based elsewhere.
