Tendering and Proposal Specialist
Accountabilities Review tender documentation thoroughly to understand customer requirements, scope, deliverables, and submission expectations.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations using cost analysis, market benchmarks, and relevant commercial information.
Coordinate with sales, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders to gather and consolidate technical and commercial inputs.
Manage tender schedules and submission timelines, ensuring proposals are complete, compliant, accurate, and delivered on time.
Analyze bid opportunities and contribute to informed bid/no-bid decisions based on commercial potential, requirements, and available resources.
Identify, evaluate, and communicate risks associated with bids, contracts, pricing, estimates, and proposed solutions.
Maintain clear and accurate tender documentation while conducting quality and compliance checks throughout the proposal process.
Engage with customers when clarification is required, helping ensure requirements are understood and supporting a positive customer experience.
Ensure compliance with applicable internal procedures, external regulations, and relevant tendering guidelines.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen proposal processes, efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 3 years of professional experience in tendering, bidding, quotation preparation, proposal management, or a closely related commercial role.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret technical, financial, commercial, and market information.
Demonstrated ability to develop accurate quotations and assess costs, pricing, and commercial considerations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using tendering, CRM, or comparable business systems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance.
Ability to identify risks, investigate complex requirements, and develop practical solutions.
Comfortable working independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
A proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented approach with an interest in continuous process improvement.
