Supply Chain Planning Specialist - Level 3 or 4

Your tasks

• Materialplanningandavailability:Ensuretherightmaterialsareavailableintherequiredquantitiesanddeliveredontimetosupportproductionschedules.Monitorinventorylevelsagainstdemand,prioritizematerialrequirements,anddetermineappropriateinventoryallocationandreplenishmentstrategies.
• MRPandERPmanagement:Usematerialrequirementsplanningtoolstoanalyzesupplyanddemand,identifyshortages,updateprocurementplans,andadjustordersasinventorylevelsandproductionrequirementschange.
• Procurementstrategyandsuppliercoordination:CollaboratewithSourcing,Procurement,andsupplierstoestablishinventorytargets,assesssuppliercapacityandleadtimes,prioritizecriticalpurchases,andimproveon-timedeliveryandmaterialquality.
• Productionandlifecycleplanning:Supportnewproductintroductions,manufacturingramp-ups,productphase-insandphase-outs,end-of-lifemanagement,andproduct-lineplanning.Contributetomake-or-buydecisionsandlong-termcapacityandresourceplanning.
• BillofMaterials(BOM)analysis:EvaluateBOMrequirementstodetermineappropriateinventorylevels,identifycomponentsneededforeachproduct,trackmaterialavailability,andadjustpurchaseorderstomeetproductionneeds.
• Cross-functionalcollaboration:PartnerwithProgramManagement,Manufacturing,Engineering,Quality,Finance,andProcurementtoresolvematerialconstraints,addressnonstandardpartrequirements,mitigatecritical-pathprocurementrisks,andprotectbuildandtestschedules.
• Performancemonitoringandreporting:Tracksupplychainperformancethroughoperationalmetrics,includingon-timepurchasing,purchaserequisitionawardstatus,andsupportingversusnon-supportingpurchases.Communicateprogress,risks,andpotentialscheduleimpactstoseniorplannersandsupplychainleadership.
• Continuousimprovement:Identifyopportunitiestoreduceworkingcapital,achievecostsavings,improveaffordability,streamlineplanningprocesses,andenhancesupplychainperformancethroughdata-drivendecisionsandcollaboration.

Requirements

• Educationandexperience—Level3:Bachelor'sdegreewithatleast5yearsofprofessionalexperience,amaster'sdegreewithatleast3years,oraPhDwithatleast1year.Anadditional4ormoreyearsofrelevantexperiencemaybeconsideredinlieuofadegree.
• Educationandexperience—Level4:Bachelor'sdegreewithatleast8yearsofprofessionalexperience,amaster'sdegreewithatleast6years,oraPhDwithatleast4years.Anadditional4ormoreyearsofrelevantexperiencemaybeconsideredinlieuofadegree.
• Securityclearance:AbilitytoobtainandmaintainaU.S.GovernmentSecretsecurityclearance.
• Supplychainexpertise:Strongunderstandingofmaterialplanning,inventorymanagement,procurementprocesses,suppliercoordination,productionrequirements,andsupplychainriskmitigation.
• MRPandERPproficiency:Experienceusingmaterialrequirementsplanningtoolsandenterpriseresourceplanningsystems.FamiliaritywithplatformssuchasCostpoint,SAP,orOracleishighlydesirable.
• Dataanalyticsandreporting:Abilitytoanalyzecomplexsupplychaindata,developperformancereports,interpretoperationalmetrics,andtranslatefindingsintoactionablerecommendations.ExperiencewithPowerBI,Tableau,dashboardcreation,oradvancedreportingisanadvantage.
• Strategicandanalyticalthinking:Abilitytoassessmaterialrequirements,supplierleadtimes,capacityconstraints,andcritical-pathpurchaseswhilebalancingcost,inventoryefficiency,andproductionpriorities.
• Leadershipandcollaboration:Demonstratedabilitytotakeownershipofprojects,influencecross-functionalstakeholders,driveprocessimprovements,andcollaborateeffectivelywithtechnicalandbusinessteams.
• Communicationandorganization:Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,includingtheabilitytoprepareclearpresentations,communicatesupplyrisks,managecompetingpriorities,andmeetdeadlinesinadynamicenvironment.

• Competitive salary: Annual salary range of $85,600–$141,200 for Level 3 and $106,800–$176,300 for Level 4, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
