Accountabilities:
The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Salesforce data solutions while driving technical excellence across enterprise systems.
Lead the design, development, and ongoing ownership of scalable Salesforce data solutions with a focus on reliability, security, performance, and data integrity.
Translate complex business requirements into resilient architectures, data models, integrations, and implementation strategies.
Serve as a senior technical contributor by solving challenging platform and data problems, making architectural decisions, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability.
Design, implement, and support integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems, ensuring strong performance, monitoring, error handling, and operational reliability.
Build and maintain data migration, transformation, enrichment, reconciliation, and validation processes supporting critical business capabilities.
Drive platform modernization initiatives by identifying technical debt, improving data quality, and recommending architectural enhancements.
Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, engineers, analysts, QA teams, and data teams to deliver successful technical initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation covering data models, system relationships, dependencies, operational processes, and support procedures.
Mentor engineers and administrators through technical guidance, design reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
Improve platform observability, automation, and operational processes to strengthen long-term system performance.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has deep Salesforce engineering expertise, strong enterprise data experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
6+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, Salesforce engineering, system administration, or related technical fields.
Strong experience designing and implementing Salesforce data models, SQL, SOQL, security configurations, automation, and platform architecture patterns.
Proven experience with Salesforce integrations, migrations, transformations, reconciliation processes, and enterprise data workflows.
Deep understanding of enterprise system architecture, secure data movement, data quality practices, and cross-platform interoperability.
Experience working with enterprise ETL tools such as dbAmp or similar solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience debugging complex issues, optimizing performance, and supporting high-impact systems.
Ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile software development environments with strong engineering practices around design, documentation, testing, and delivery.
Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or architect certification required; additional Salesforce architecture, integration, or data certifications are highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with enterprise cloud platforms, APIs, automation frameworks, and modern data technologies is a plus.

Compensation ranges by U.S. geographic zone:
Zone 1: $162,000 - $270,000 USD
Zone 2: $148,500 - $247,500 USD
Zone 3: $135,000 - $225,000 USD
