Senior User Experience Interface Designer
Accountabilities Gather and synthesize customer and end-user requirements to develop clear UX concepts and design solutions.
Work closely with product managers, developers, customers, and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs.
Facilitate co-creation sessions with end-users and product development teams to generate and validate design concepts.
Conduct market and audience research to inform intuitive interactions, workflows, and user experiences.
Design interaction models and experiences for mobile, desktop, and embedded software solutions.
Create clickable prototypes and other interactive design artifacts to communicate and validate proposed experiences.
Plan, organize, and conduct usability testing sessions with users to evaluate designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Analyze and communicate usability testing results, incorporating insights into iterative design solutions.
Organize and facilitate design meetings, workshops, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative ideation activities.
Develop and publish UI design guidelines to promote consistency and quality across products.
Guide visual design strategies and ensure visual decisions complement interaction patterns and overall user experience goals.
Champion a user-centered design process and proactively advocate for users throughout the product development lifecycle.
Collaborate with development teams throughout projects to ensure detailed interaction designs are understood and effectively translated into working products.
Apply established design methods and research findings to solve complex product and usability challenges.
Requirements
At least 9 years of professional interaction design experience.
At least 4 years of software application design experience across platforms such as iOS, Android, Mac, or Windows.
Associate degree or equivalent education in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Architecture, Digital Design, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
Certification in Interaction Design, HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience designing software for both desktop and mobile interfaces.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, processes, and methodologies.
Proven experience conducting usability testing and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
Strong proficiency in creating detailed interaction designs, prototypes, workflows, and other design artifacts.
Skilled in graphic design and experienced with relevant graphic design applications.
Strong ability to articulate design rationale, user needs, business requirements, and technical considerations to diverse stakeholders.
Passion for UX design and a willingness to champion user-centered practices across product teams.
Excellent collaboration, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work proactively and independently while collaborating effectively with product, engineering, design, and customer teams.
Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally as required, with expected travel of less than 25%.
Ability to work for extended periods at a computer workstation and perform tasks involving keyboard and mouse use.
Ability to travel for extended periods and sit for several hours when required.
Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment, including computers and peripherals, with a minimum lifting capacity of 50 pounds.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information relating to customers, employees, products, and technologies.
