Accountabilities: The Senior Manager, Strategic Contract Initiatives will lead contract execution across a portfolio of strategic government initiatives, ensuring strong governance, proactive risk management, and effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Own contract execution strategies, ensuring contractual commitments, customer requirements, and business priorities remain aligned throughout program lifecycles.

Serve as a trusted contracting advisor to program management, customer success, finance, legal, product, and executive leadership teams.

Translate complex contractual requirements into practical guidance that supports successful program delivery and customer relationships.

Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks, performance concerns, and emerging issues while driving proactive resolution.

Develop contract management frameworks, documentation standards, governance processes, and operational practices to improve consistency and visibility.

Provide executive-level reporting on contract health, milestones, risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.

Build, mentor, and lead a team of Contract Managers supporting strategic initiatives and complex government programs.

Establish scalable processes that improve contract execution quality, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Support customer and government stakeholder relationships by facilitating alignment and resolving contract-related challenges.

Drive continuous improvement across contract operations to support organizational growth and program success.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced government contracts leader with strong business judgment, operational discipline, and the ability to manage complex programs in a technology-driven environment.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

10–15 years of progressive experience managing and administering complex U.S. Government contracts.

Demonstrated success leading contract execution for large-scale, high-visibility government programs with multiple stakeholders.

Experience supporting commercial software or SaaS organizations selling solutions to federal government customers.

Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing contract professionals.

Deep knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), contract lifecycle management, and post-award contract administration.

Strong understanding of how contractual requirements connect with program delivery, customer relationships, financial performance, and business objectives.

Ability to communicate effectively with executives, program leaders, customers, and government stakeholders.

Strong negotiation, problem-solving, documentation, and risk-management skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred experience as a Government Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or supporting major defense acquisition programs.

Preferred experience with Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs), prototype programs, production transitions, or evolving government acquisition models.
