Senior Manager, Client Data and Application Integrations
Accountabilities Define and execute integration strategies that enable effective connectivity between enterprise systems, applications, and business processes.
Lead and mentor a team of integration specialists, engineers, analysts, and other technical professionals, supporting performance, career development, onboarding, succession planning, and employee engagement.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive integration roadmap covering priorities, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements.
Partner with IT, engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, establish project scope, prioritize initiatives, and align solutions with business objectives.
Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of integration platforms, tools, technologies, and standards.
Manage integration projects end to end, including planning, staffing, resource allocation, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
Monitor project performance, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and resource utilization, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors, partners, and external stakeholders to support delivery and innovation.
Provide senior leadership with regular reporting on project progress, financial performance, resource needs, risks, and key milestones.
Define annual performance indicators aligned with organizational goals and use them to monitor team and operational performance.
Determine appropriate staffing levels and resource requirements to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
Lead and influence cross-functional change management initiatives designed to improve efficiency, processes, and technology adoption.
Prepare and manage assigned budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to optimize operational performance.
Stay informed about emerging integration technologies and industry practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Handle sensitive client, member, and organizational data with confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
8+ years of experience in software integration, including a demonstrated track record of delivering complex integration initiatives.
3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for managing, motivating, developing, and retaining technical teams.
Deep knowledge of integration technologies, protocols, and standards, including APIs, ETL, messaging queues, and middleware.
Strong understanding of healthcare environments, particularly Medicaid and Medicare Advantage, along with the ability to navigate healthcare strategies, systems, and technology requirements.
Solid project management expertise, including experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Asana.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering measurable business value.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Experience assessing the impact of organizational and technology changes on clients, members, employees, and other stakeholders, and defining appropriate readiness activities.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong judgment and discretion when working with highly sensitive or confidential information.
Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare or financial services is an advantage.
