Sales Executive Federal Government
Accountabilities Own the full sales cycle across the assigned Canadian Federal Government territory, from prospecting and qualification through presentations, demonstrations, RFP responses, negotiations, and closing.
Develop and execute territory, account, and opportunity plans aligned with revenue objectives and customer priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, partners, influencers, and senior decision-makers across business and technical functions.
Lead discovery conversations, understand customer requirements, qualify opportunities, and communicate tailored solutions and value propositions.
Position solutions effectively against competitive offerings, including Microsoft, Okta, and Saviynt, while articulating the broader value of partner services.
Coordinate and lead virtual teams of sales engineers, partner managers, professional services, deal desk, marketing, business value, and customer success resources.
Work collaboratively with channel partners to develop joint account strategies, marketing activities, pipeline, and customer engagement plans.
Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity data, activity records, relationship maps, and pipeline information in Salesforce and other sales-management tools.
Develop account plans for priority customers and identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and increase customer value.
Establish a focused portfolio of priority accounts, including high-potential strategic opportunities, and develop actionable engagement strategies for each.
Present territory plans, forecasts, pipeline strategies, and business recommendations to sales leadership.
Maintain an active pipeline and continuously refine go-to-market strategies, messaging, competitive positioning, and partner engagement approaches.
Lead a consistent operating cadence with internal and partner resources to ensure accountability and progress across opportunities.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, business development, or a comparable technology sales environment.
Demonstrated success owning complex, consultative sales cycles and consistently working toward or exceeding revenue targets.
Experience selling technology solutions to government organizations, ideally within the Canadian Federal Government sector.
Strong understanding of enterprise identity, cybersecurity, SaaS, or related technology solutions, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in clear business terms.
Ability to confidently position solutions against major competitors and articulate differentiated value to both business and technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to develop territory plans, account strategies, opportunity plans, forecasts, and pipeline-growth initiatives.
Strong partner-management and channel-selling experience, with the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders around shared opportunities.
Excellent discovery, presentation, negotiation, communication, and executive-engagement skills.
Highly collaborative approach, with the ability to act as the central coordinator for a multidisciplinary virtual sales team rather than operating independently.
Strong commercial judgment, initiative, accountability, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Salesforce and sales forecasting/reporting tools, with a strong commitment to data accuracy and pipeline hygiene.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, business, sales, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% annually for customer, partner, and business engagements.

Base salary of approximately CAD $166,450 , with actual compensation determined by factors such as experience, skills, location, market conditions, and internal equity.
