Sales Engineer Senior
Accountabilities: Serve as a technical subject matter expert and provide application engineering and programming support for building automation and control technologies.
Support System Integrators, end-user customers, and Regional Sales Managers with technical guidance throughout the sales and adoption process.
Support new product introductions through technical presentations, demonstrations, training sessions, webinars, and lunch-and-learn events.
Assist with new customer onboarding and provide supplemental product training to help customers and partners successfully adopt solutions.
Deliver product feature demonstrations and technical sessions tailored to customer and sales team needs.
Support projects implementing new technologies for the first time, helping customers understand capabilities and apply solutions effectively.
Represent the organization at industry trade shows and other customer-facing events.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to stay current on product capabilities, technical advancements, integrations, and limitations.
Manage a schedule of customer and partner commitments while coordinating closely with sales and technical stakeholders.
Translate complex technical concepts into practical guidance that supports customer outcomes and successful technology adoption.
Requirements:
Experience in application engineering, programming, or a related technical role within building automation and control systems.
Experience with IoT integrations and APIs.
Ability to write code using programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Advanced understanding of IP networking and related technologies.
Experience working with Linux environments and/or Docker and container technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and explain technical challenges.
Demonstrated curiosity and a hands-on mindset, with an interest in tinkering, building, experimenting, and creating technical solutions.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers, System Integrators, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while managing multiple customer-facing commitments.
Willingness to travel for customer engagements, industry trade shows, and other business activities.
