Relationship Manager, Equipment Finance, Environmental Waste
Accountabilities: Manage existing equipment finance relationships within the environmental waste sector, working closely with senior management and maintaining regular communication with customers to understand and meet their financing needs.
Generate new financing opportunities from the existing customer base, including opportunities arising from bid letters, job awards, and publicly funded projects.
Strengthen customer relationships through high-quality service, industry knowledge, and a strong understanding of equipment needs while ensuring opportunities deliver appropriate margins.
Evaluate customer experience, financial condition, and collateral to identify individual financing needs and recommend suitable financing solutions.
Gather and communicate relevant customer and industry intelligence from sureties, suppliers, vendors, and other market sources to help identify and address potential delinquencies.
Support sales development and training activities through sales meetings, conference calls, tradeshows, and scheduled one-on-one discussions.
Collaborate with management and support teams to improve business performance and operational efficiency, including through the use of public data sources and market intelligence.
Represent the organization in the marketplace and collaborate across internal teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Follow established risk, regulatory, compliance, and internal control standards, escalating risk-related issues when appropriate and supporting the timely resolution of audit or regulatory findings.
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience, or a combination of at least 11 years of higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, relationship management, environmental waste, or a closely related industry is highly relevant to the role.
Prior credit underwriting experience is preferred, with the ability to assess customer financial condition, experience, collateral, and financing requirements.
Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment, with the ability to evaluate financial and market information and translate it into appropriate financing solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, senior leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer relationships, business opportunities, and risk-related priorities effectively.
Ability to collaborate across teams, contribute to sales initiatives, and represent the organization professionally in customer and industry settings.
Ability to understand and consistently follow risk, regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements.
Benefits
Annual salary range of $107,500–$179,100 USD , with individual compensation determined by the successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
Full-time position with remote eligibility across the United States .
