- Verify bug fixes before release and help maintain product quality as new features are introduced.
- Application Monitoring and Reliability
- Monitor production applications to ensure critical workflows remain operational and perform as expected.
- Identify failed file uploads, broken pages, API errors, background job failures, and unusual user activity.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, escalate critical issues, and collaborate with engineers on root-cause analysis.
- Help maintain platform availability and customer confidence by identifying issues before they significantly affect users.
- Develop or maintain internal dashboards, alerts, and monitoring tools to track product health and system reliability.
- 3D Printability Review and Manufacturing Support
- Review customer-uploaded CAD files, technical drawings, PDFs, and part metadata to assess their suitability for additive manufacturing.
- Evaluate potential printability risks related to geometry, material selection, dimensions, tolerances, wall thickness, unsupported features, overhangs, small holes, warping, and file quality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturing specialists to improve printability scoring systems and analysis workflows.
- Develop internal review checklists and part-classification processes to support consistent and reliable assessments.
- Compare automated printability analysis results with human evaluations, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements to the underlying workflows.
- Customer Behavior and Product Insights
- Analyze platform usage patterns to understand how customers interact with the product and complete key workflows.
- Identify onboarding challenges, abandoned processes, unsuccessful uploads, and points where users fail to complete RFQs or other important actions.
- Review customer feedback, support tickets, uploaded part data, and usage trends to uncover recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
- Translate observations into actionable bug reports, product recommendations, and clear technical requirements.
- Help product and engineering teams understand customer needs and distinguish actual user behavior from expected application behavior.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards that track product usage, customer activity, part uploads, RFQs, supplier responses, conversion funnels, and system errors.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including user registrations, active users, upload success and failure rates, file types, printability analysis completion, RFQs submitted, supplier response rates, and customer drop-off points.
- Use analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Metabase, Looker Studio, Supabase, SQL, or comparable platforms.
- Prepare regular product quality and usage reports that help teams monitor performance and prioritize improvements.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights that support product decisions and operational efficiency.
- Bug Fixing and Light Engineering
- Investigate defects across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
- Implement small code fixes independently where appropriate and collaborate with engineers to resolve more complex issues.
- Improve error handling, application logging, input validation, and user-facing error messages.
- Review code changes from a quality assurance, usability, and product reliability perspective.
- Contribute to internal tools, scripts, dashboards, and test automation to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate through version control, code reviews, pull requests, and deployment workflows.
