PLM Project Manager
Accountabilities Manage the full lifecycle of PLM and Teamcenter implementation projects, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Review customer contracts and manage contractual obligations, risks, opportunities, scope, and overall project ownership from both financial and delivery perspectives.
Establish project plans, schedules, communication strategies, reporting structures, and escalation procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, maintain issue logs, and implement corrective and preventive actions to keep projects on track.
Manage customer requirements and scope, including formal change management, documentation of deviations, change estimates, quotations, and procurement-related activities.
Oversee project financial performance, including resource costs, utilization, burn-down rates, revenue and cost forecasts, and margin optimization.
Coordinate implementation, commissioning, site acceptance, go-live, and post-go-live support activities to ensure successful project completion.
Lead project quality management and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, business practices, and contractual requirements.
Manage contract acceptance, project closure, final handover, reviews, retrospectives, and the integration of lessons learned into future projects and organizational practices.
Partner with Sales, Services Management, Program Management, and account stakeholders to identify customer value, align project delivery with value realization plans, and support achievement of agreed KPIs.
Identify additional opportunities arising from active projects and communicate them to appropriate sales or program stakeholders.
Build productive relationships with customers and project teams, translating technical concepts and project issues into clear communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support a collaborative project environment that values diverse perspectives, constructive feedback, ethical decision-making, and shared accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; 10+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
At least 10 years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing processes related to product design and development.
Demonstrated experience driving the implementation and commissioning of IT solutions within manufacturing environments; experience with Teamcenter or other PLM solutions is preferred.
Proven project management experience with responsibility for scope, scheduling, budgets, resources, risks, quality, customer relationships, and delivery outcomes.
Strong financial and commercial understanding, including project costing, resource utilization, burn-down rates, cost and revenue forecasting, and margin optimization.
Experience with project planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms, together with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or comparable iterative delivery methodologies.
Strong organizational, planning, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to managers, directors, executives, and other non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accountability for business goals and results.
Understanding of business standards, compliance, ethics, and legal requirements, with the ability to apply these principles when leading projects and teams.
Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, constructive feedback, conflict management, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and perspectives.
Strong understanding of customer value chains and the ability to connect technology implementation with measurable business outcomes.
Ability to communicate project progress, status, risks, and issues clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
Project management certification from PMI, IPMA, or an equivalent international organization is preferred.
