Manager, Senior Portfolio Consultant
Accountabilities: Lead, coach, and support a team of Portfolio Consultants, establishing clear expectations and helping team members maximize their performance and professional development.
Strategically allocate team resources and manage capacity to support key performance indicators, service requirements, and business priorities.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, workflows, team capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Establish and apply effective project management methodologies and best practices across the team.
Ensure Wealth Advisor teams and end clients receive a high-quality, concierge-level service experience across all portfolio consulting activities.
Clearly communicate investment philosophies, portfolio strategies, and available investment solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
Lead presentations and educational discussions on investment topics for Wealth Advisor teams.
Apply strong knowledge of capital markets, portfolio construction, and investment management across a range of investment vehicles, models, and platforms, including public and private markets.
Own standardized investment workflows and processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, efficiency, and appropriate controls.
Identify and implement department- or firm-level process improvements that strengthen operational performance and enhance the client experience.
Manage trade corrections and develop processes designed to minimize errors and improve trading accuracy.
Analyze team reporting and operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
Balance multiple time-sensitive initiatives while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; a CFP, CFA, or advanced degree is a plus.
Active Series 65 license required.
Approximately 4–10 years of relevant financial services experience , preferably within investment management, portfolio consulting, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports, with the ability to coach, motivate, and build high-performing teams.
Comprehensive understanding of capital markets, portfolio design, investment management, and portfolio implementation.
Strong knowledge of investment vehicles, investment models, portfolio platforms, and both public and private markets.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including data analysis and analytical reporting.
Familiarity with Orion and Morningstar is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present investment concepts to Wealth Advisor teams and senior stakeholders.
Highly collaborative approach and ability to build productive relationships across investment, operations, trading, compliance, and advisory functions.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage competing deadlines.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, professional judgment, and ownership.
Willingness to work daytime and occasional evening hours as business needs require.
Ability to travel approximately 5–10% .
