This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead, Competitive Intelligence based in Canada . The Lead, Competitive Intelligence will drive actionable insights across the U.S. telecommunications landscape, covering broadband, fiber networks, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), video, and mobile. The role will proactively monitor competitor strategies, financial results, pricing, promotional activity, network expansion, and product developments. You will transform complex market and competitive data into clear intelligence that supports strategic decision-making. Working closely with executive leadership, Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Experience teams, you will help shape commercial strategies and product positioning. The position combines strategic analysis, market intelligence, executive communication, and emerging AI-enabled solutions to accelerate speed-to-insight. You will also help strengthen enterprise-wide competitive intelligence capabilities by developing centralized repositories, automated workflows, and scalable insight tools. This is an opportunity to influence market strategy in a dynamic, evolving telecommunications environment while identifying both competitive threats and growth opportunities.

Accountabilities: Track, analyze, and contextualize U.S. competitor activity, including earnings reports, fiber overbuilds, FWA expansion, pricing, offer structures, and promotional strategies.

Produce monthly and quarterly competitive benchmarking reports, executive presentations, and ad-hoc intelligence briefings for senior leadership.

Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to translate competitive findings into actionable commercial strategies and product positioning.

Build, automate, and maintain a centralized Competitive Intelligence repository and supporting insight tools for enterprise-wide access.

Develop new AI-enabled solutions and automated workflows that improve the speed, efficiency, and scalability of competitive intelligence.

Monitor market trends, earnings calls, regional competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and other industry developments to provide strategic context.

Evaluate competitor moves to identify market threats, growth opportunities, and implications for business strategy.

Provide competitive intelligence support for major commercial initiatives, product launches, and regional expansion projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

5–7+ years of experience in competitive intelligence or strategic market analysis, ideally within the telecommunications, broadband, or cable industries.

Strong understanding of the U.S. telecommunications and broadband landscape, including competitor offers, pricing models, and network technologies such as Fiber, FWA, and HFC.

Proven ability to deliver executive-level presentations and translate complex data and market intelligence into strategic business recommendations.

Experience building automated workflows and solutions using AI.

Strong business acumen with advanced strategic analysis, data synthesis, and market interpretation capabilities, including the ability to evaluate financial and earnings reports.

Excellent presentation, storytelling, and storyboarding skills, with proficiency in Google Slides and/or PowerPoint.

Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with CI tools, market intelligence platforms, and data analytics solutions.

Annual salary range of $85,600–$128,400 for primary work locations in Massachusetts or Maryland.

Annual salary range of $77,800–$116,800 for primary work locations in Maine or Virginia.

Annual salary range of $85,600–$128,400 for a primary work location in Cleveland, Ohio.

Compensation may vary based on job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and specific work location.
