Accountabilities: The role will focus on supporting customer implementations by applying transmission line design expertise, structural engineering knowledge, and technical problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:

Building and optimizing overhead transmission line designs by incorporating customer data, constraints, and engineering requirements into digital models.

Translating transmission design information, including tower libraries, structure lists, drawings, and technical documentation, into project environments.

Applying structural engineering concepts such as wind spans, weight spans, load cases, clearances, line angles, tension structures, suspension structures, and foundation considerations.

Supporting customers in evaluating and comparing design options based on cost, loading, clearance, and performance metrics.

Helping clients understand and transition from traditional transmission design workflows to modern digital engineering solutions.

Participating in customer workshops, demonstrations, and deployment sessions by providing technical expertise and addressing structural and design-related questions.

Collaborating with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams across global locations to improve delivery outcomes.

Supporting broader delivery activities including model development, quality assurance, GIS, and LiDAR-related projects when required.

Conducting basic efficiency and ROI assessments to demonstrate improvements delivered through technology adoption.

Contributing feedback and domain expertise to enhance product capabilities and implementation processes.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have strong overhead transmission line design experience, structural engineering knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required qualifications and skills include:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant exposure to overhead transmission line design.

Approximately 3–5 years of experience working on overhead transmission line (OHTL/OHL) projects involving routing, structural analysis, and tower spotting optimization.

Strong understanding of transmission line structural behavior, including wind, weight, temperature, and ice load cases, clearances, tension and suspension structures, and basic foundation concepts.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tower and foundation details, specifications, and technical documentation.

Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with engineering design workflows.

Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, with the ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs clearly.

Comfortable working directly with customers and participating in technical discussions, demonstrations, and workshops.

Ability to collaborate across international teams and work effectively across India, US, and Australia time zones.

Willingness to travel occasionally for customer workshops, demonstrations, and deployment activities.

Additional experience that would be valuable:

Hands-on experience with transmission line routing and tower design projects, particularly with utilities, EPC companies, or engineering consulting environments.

Practical experience using PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, or PLS-POLE for structure modeling, tower spotting, route optimization, load analysis, and clearance checks.

Familiarity with GIS tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth, KMZ, or KML workflows.

Experience with scripting, automation, or data workflow improvements using Python or similar technologies.

Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity.

Benefits:

Competitive salary package aligned with experience and expertise.

Remote-friendly work model with flexibility to work from India.

Opportunity to contribute to innovative technology supporting the global energy transition.

Exposure to international projects and collaboration with global engineering, product, and customer teams.

Fast-track career growth within a rapidly scaling technology organization.

Collaborative and open culture where employees can share ideas and make meaningful contributions.

Opportunity to work with advanced digital engineering, AI, and machine learning technologies.

Strong leadership environment with a clear mission and high-performance culture.
