Accountabilities: Lead and support a globally distributed engineering team, creating an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, growth, and high-quality delivery in an asynchronous remote setting.

Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop engineers while building a strong, outcome-focused engineering culture.

Guide agile engineering practices and improve team workflows to enable reliable and iterative delivery of deployment tooling and platform capabilities.

Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to align technical priorities with customer needs and business objectives.

Drive improvements in deployment reliability, upgrade processes, operational simplicity, and automation across different deployment environments.

Provide technical guidance on areas such as Kubernetes Operators, Helm charts, stateful application delivery, and cloud-native deployment architectures.

Support incident management activities and collaborate with reliability-focused teams to improve system availability and operational excellence.

Influence engineering decisions by balancing technical opportunities, customer impact, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Requirements:

Proven experience managing engineering teams focused on platform engineering, deployment tooling, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering at scale.

Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes Operators, Helm charts, upgrade orchestration, and cloud-native application delivery patterns.

Experience with enterprise-scale or large consumer-facing software platforms, ideally within a product-driven technology environment.

Knowledge of database lifecycle management, schema migrations, and strategies for achieving reliable, zero-downtime upgrades.

Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, make informed decisions, and communicate trade-offs effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated success building and supporting high-performing distributed teams in remote or asynchronous environments.

Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, support, and customer-focused organizations.

Passion for developer tools, open-source technologies, continuous learning, and creating inclusive environments where diverse experiences are valued.

Equivalent practical experience, technical expertise, or formal education in computer science or related fields will be considered.
