Your tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, highly available, and high-performance software applications using Java.
• Participate in gathering, analyzing, and translating business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical and non-technical documentation, including system diagrams, architecture designs, and workflow documentation.
• Manage medium-complexity development tasks from initial discussions with business stakeholders through technical implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Investigate and resolve software issues efficiently by analyzing, debugging, and troubleshooting code to identify root causes and implement reliable solutions.
• Collaborate in evaluating and defining software and system architectures, contributing to technical decisions that support performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems, increasing productivity, stability, scalability, and operational control.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and other application interfaces to support integrations and business requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and prevent regressions.
• Apply software engineering best practices, design patterns, version control, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to agile development activities, collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality software within agreed timelines.
• Explore and apply AI-assisted development techniques and tools to improve engineering workflows, code quality, and development efficiency.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software development, with solid knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with Python is desirable.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries, preferably using Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools, such as Jenkins, GoCD, or equivalent platforms.
• Practical experience with distributed version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience working with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and maintainable software architecture.
• Experience implementing automated tests using frameworks and libraries such as JUnit and Mockito, including unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of AI in software development, including AI-assisted coding tools or techniques that support engineering productivity.
• Ability to analyze technical and business requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug code, investigate issues, and make sound technical decisions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Proactive mindset, attention to detail, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning and software quality.
• Ability to manage medium-complexity tasks independently while collaborating with the wider team in an agile environment.
