Accountabilities Lead the planning, development, and execution of capital projects across a regional network of manufacturing facilities.

Manage multi-million-dollar capital expenditure programs, ensuring effective allocation of resources, budget control, and successful project delivery.

Partner with operations, engineering, finance, and site leadership teams to prioritize initiatives and establish project strategies.

Oversee projects from concept development through commissioning, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Direct external engineering firms, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers throughout project planning and execution phases.

Implement structured project management practices, including scope definition, risk management, cost control, scheduling, and change management.

Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to project engineers and supporting team members.

Collaborate with facility leadership to minimize operational disruption during project implementation.

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational procedures.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize engineering processes and project execution strategies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.

12+ years of experience managing large-scale capital projects within food manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or similar environments.

Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

Demonstrated expertise in capital project management, including budgeting, cost control, scheduling, and project execution.

Strong experience managing engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers.

Knowledge of food safety standards, OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial safety practices.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and business objectives.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions in dynamic operational environments.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%, including occasional overnight travel.
