Director, Measurement & Insights
Accountabilities: Build measurement infrastructure: Design and implement SQL queries, dashboards, and daily reporting views that surface campaign performance well ahead of traditional post-campaign analysis.
Establish the measurement framework: Define reporting standards, cadences, and playbooks for weekly client-facing updates and deeper post-campaign analyses.
Deliver actionable insights: Lead early measurement checkpoints on qualifying campaigns, partnering with Client Success teams to translate first-party and third-party data into insights clients can act upon.
Define campaign success criteria: Work with Sales and Strategy before campaigns launch to establish clear, measurable objectives and ensure the measurement approach can evaluate them effectively.
Own the complete data ecosystem: Integrate first-party data, including platform and organic results, with third-party sources such as brand lift, attribution, and foot-traffic data.
Productize measurement: Develop complex and customized measurement capabilities into scalable, revenue-generating services while maintaining accountability for their commercial performance.
Partner with Engineering: Collaborate with platform data engineering, Product, and other technical teams to develop advanced measurement tooling and infrastructure.
Automate and scale: Replace repetitive manual reporting with reusable systems, templates, workflows, and automation that allow the function to grow efficiently.
Lead and develop the team: Coach and develop the measurement analyst while establishing the processes, standards, and operating model needed to scale the function.
Drive cross-functional influence: Translate complex analytical findings into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders and help teams make better decisions based on evidence.
Balance speed and rigor: Prioritize useful, timely insights while continuously improving measurement quality, reliability, and sophistication.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in marketing, media, measurement, analytics, or related fields, with demonstrated expertise across both first-party and third-party data.
5+ years of people management experience , including developing talent and building new capabilities rather than simply managing an established function.
Strong technical capabilities: Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience building dashboards and analytical reporting; comfortable remaining deeply involved in technical execution.
0-to-1 leadership experience: Proven track record of building a measurement, analytics, or insights capability from the ground up.
Relevant industry background: Experience within agency, adtech, martech, media measurement, or measurement platforms. Experience from general SaaS environments without relevant measurement exposure is less applicable.
Creator or influencer measurement experience is highly desirable.
Commercialization experience: Demonstrated ability to turn measurement or analytics capabilities into revenue-generating products or services.
Engineering partnership: Experience building measurement solutions under resource constraints while working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
Automation mindset: Strong preference for scalable, reusable, and automated solutions over repetitive manual reporting.
Data storytelling: Ability to turn complex analytical findings into clear narratives that non-technical clients and internal stakeholders can understand and act upon.
Bias toward execution: Comfortable shipping practical solutions quickly and improving them iteratively rather than waiting for perfect analysis.
Influence without authority: Skilled at collaborating across functions, advocating for priorities, and driving outcomes when technical dependencies sit with other teams.
Comfort with ambiguity: Thrives in greenfield environments where processes, systems, and organizational structures are still being established.
Leadership style: Hands-on, analytical, entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and comfortable operating as both strategist and individual contributor.
Benefits:
Base salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year.
Additional compensation: Potential eligibility for variable compensation, including bonuses or commissions, depending on role and location.
