Digital Sales Specialist
Accountabilities Execute digital sales strategies focused on pipeline generation, account expansion, renewals, upselling, and cross-selling.
Manage sales activity across an assigned geographic territory and enterprise accounts, using phone, email, video, and other digital channels to engage customers and progress opportunities.
Partner with Marketing to convert campaigns, digital demand, and qualified leads into measurable revenue opportunities.
Collaborate with Field Sales, Product, and Commercial Operations on account coverage, deal strategy, launches, pricing, enablement, and customer feedback.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including opportunity activity, forecasting inputs, account information, and pipeline reporting.
Analyze sales dashboards, CRM data, and customer engagement trends to identify risks, whitespace opportunities, and areas for improved execution.
Use consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs, communicate business value, address objections, and encourage adoption of digital solutions.
Coordinate internal resources to resolve customer questions and escalations while maintaining a strong customer experience.
Represent customer perspectives in sales strategy discussions, product feedback, and go-to-market planning.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, playbooks, tools, and enablement materials.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Technology, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of experience in sales, commercial operations, account management, business development, or another customer-facing revenue role.
Experience selling or supporting SaaS, software, digital products, inside sales, or technology-enabled solutions.
Demonstrated success managing pipelines, qualifying opportunities, advancing deals, and delivering measurable commercial results.
Strong CRM expertise, particularly with platforms such as Salesforce, including opportunity management, activity tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
Ability to use data, dashboards, and sales analytics to prioritize accounts, identify growth opportunities, and guide sales strategy.
Strong consultative selling capabilities, including discovery, needs assessment, value positioning, objection handling, and customer follow-up.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building and account-management skills across multiple customer engagement channels.
Ability to work effectively across Marketing, Product, Field Sales, Commercial Operations, and customer support functions.
Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, initiative, and sound judgment in a target-driven environment.
Experience in environmental monitoring, food safety, life sciences, diagnostics, laboratory services, manufacturing, or another regulated or technical industry is preferred.
Enterprise account experience, including complex buying groups or multi-site customers, is a plus.
Familiarity with subscription-based revenue, recurring sales, software adoption, customer retention, or expansion models is advantageous.
Experience with sales engagement, marketing automation, digital prospecting, or business intelligence tools is beneficial.
Experience mentoring colleagues, leading projects, supporting enablement programs, or improving team performance is a plus.
Ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear, compelling business value for different customer stakeholders.
