Accountabilities: Develop, evolve, and maintain scalable, highly available, and resilient backend services, with a primary focus on Python and modern backend development practices.

Build and maintain APIs and integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability.

Contribute to technical discussions within the squad, supporting architecture decisions and promoting engineering best practices.

Perform code reviews focused on code quality, readability, maintainability, and long-term technical health.

Work with microservices and distributed-system architectures, considering performance, scalability, cost, and security trade-offs.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and continuous deployment practices.

Monitor applications through logs, metrics, and alerts, proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.

Collaborate with Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams to design and deliver efficient, scalable solutions.

Contribute to architectural decisions and solution design in partnership with Product and other technical stakeholders.

Support technical initiatives and, when appropriate, take ownership of specific projects or components from design through delivery.

Requirements

Solid professional experience in backend development using at least one modern programming language, particularly Python, Go, or Node.js.

Practical experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Express, Echo, Fiber, or similar technologies.

Experience designing or developing microservices and distributed systems.

Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent solutions.

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

Knowledge of containerization with Docker and modern CI/CD practices.

Experience implementing automated tests and following software engineering best practices.

Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs involving performance, scalability, cost, reliability, and security.

Experience working in agile squads and collaborating through code reviews and technical discussions.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical decisions clearly.

Experience with highly available or mission-critical systems is a plus.

Experience with multiple integrations, including external APIs, authentication, billing, or legacy systems, is desirable.

Previous experience leading technical initiatives or contributing to architecture and solution design is an advantage.
