Dalton CFP Contractor Instructor

Accountabilities Deliver assigned CFP examination preparation courses through virtual classrooms, presenting complex financial topics clearly and meaningfully.

Develop a strong understanding of all instructional resources, including textbooks, student handouts, online learning materials, question databases, and classroom presentations.

Prepare thoroughly for each class and ensure all assigned educational content is presented accurately and effectively.

Facilitate student participation, encourage active learning, and create an engaging and supportive virtual classroom environment.

Respond to student questions during and outside class as appropriate, helping learners understand challenging concepts and examination topics.

Collaborate with other faculty members to coordinate responses to student questions and provide a consistent learning experience.

Support updates and development of presentation slides and other instructional materials when needed.

Remain current on CFP-related regulations, tax law changes, and other developments relevant to the curriculum.

Provide ongoing availability information to the Faculty Director to support effective course scheduling.

Complete other instructional, administrative, and faculty-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Advanced degree in a relevant area of study, or current CFP certification combined with a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts and the subject matter required for CFP examination preparation.

Outstanding classroom facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

Familiarity with Zoom and confidence delivering instruction in a virtual classroom environment.

Passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students develop the knowledge and skills required to become CFP professionals.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and respond effectively to student needs.

Strong preparation, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to remain current with regulatory and tax law developments affecting financial planning.

Preferred professional credentials include a PhD, JD, CPA, CFA, or FRM.

Five or more years of experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is advantageous.
