Credentialing Manager
Accountabilities Own credentialing operational performance, using client health, quality, efficiency, and SLA metrics to drive consistent operating excellence.
Lead and mentor multiple Credentialing Team Leads, establishing clear expectations and ensuring their teams achieve targets for speed, quality, and efficiency.
Monitor core operational KPIs, identify trends and performance gaps, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce errors, strengthen quality, and accelerate adoption of automation.
Ensure business continuity by proactively identifying operational risks, developing mitigation plans, and implementing effective workarounds when external factors affect service delivery.
Act as the escalation point for complex credentialing challenges and client issues, driving timely resolution while minimizing operational and customer impact.
Own client communications and surface recurring issues, insights, and opportunities that can improve service outcomes and inform product enhancements.
Partner with internal teams to optimize workflows, improve processes, and strengthen collaboration across operations and technology functions.
Oversee capacity planning, workload allocation, and capability-building initiatives to support sustainable operational growth.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Team Leads to review performance, remove blockers, and identify development opportunities.
Cascade organizational goals and OKRs to team level, ensuring employees remain focused on high-impact priorities.
Identify attrition risks and develop proactive retention strategies to engage high performers and strengthen team stability.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture through effective coaching, recognition, feedback, and career development.
Requirements
Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume operations environment, ideally within healthcare, credentialing, provider data, or a similarly regulated industry.
Proven experience managing multiple team leads and scaling operational teams in a fast-growing organization.
Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, provider data management, and healthcare compliance requirements.
Highly data-driven approach, with the ability to analyze performance trends, identify root causes, and translate insights into operational improvements.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex operational challenges simultaneously.
Exceptional proactive problem-solving abilities and sound judgment when managing escalations, risks, and business continuity issues.
Strong understanding of operational KPIs, SLA management, quality assurance, capacity planning, and performance management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence interacting with clients, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and develop managers and operational teams.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
Strong ownership mindset, accountability, and commitment to delivering measurable business and client outcomes.
Comfortable using data and technology to optimize workflows and support scalable operations.
