Accountabilities Own new business sales for enterprise legal management software and services within corporate legal and legal operations departments across Canada.
Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to identify high-value prospects, generate opportunities, and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
Manage complex enterprise sales cycles from initial lead through negotiation and contract signature, maintaining momentum across multiple stakeholders.
Build consultative relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders at different levels of client organizations.
Demonstrate the business value and ROI of solutions, connecting product capabilities to customer priorities and measurable outcomes.
Develop targeted, solution-oriented proposals with appropriate positioning, pricing, and commercial strategy.
Maintain accurate pipeline information in Salesforce or comparable CRM systems and provide regular forecasts and updates on opportunity progression.
Represent the solution portfolio at industry conferences, trade shows, speaking engagements, and other customer-facing events.
Monitor market needs, competitive developments, and industry trends to identify opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
Consistently achieve assigned sales, revenue, pipeline, and other commercial performance objectives.
Travel approximately 30–50% of the time to meet customers, prospects, and industry partners.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
8+ years of enterprise-level sales experience, ideally involving complex B2B technology or software solutions.
Previous experience selling Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) and/or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions, or strong knowledge of the legal technology market, is highly preferred.
Proven track record of managing complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles and closing high-value opportunities.
Strong understanding of solution selling and the ability to build compelling value propositions around customer business outcomes.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and confidence engaging senior executives and multiple stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Strong commercial judgment and technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and communicate sophisticated software solutions.
Experience working effectively within collaborative sales environments while taking ownership of individual objectives.
Ability to work independently, manage a territory effectively, and prioritize opportunities without constant supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as CRM platforms.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–50% as required by customer and business needs.
