Finance and Accounting Manager – Commodities Trading
Our client is an international metals and commodities trading company with a growing presence in Singapore. They are looking for an experienced, hands-on Finance, Accounting & Administration Manager to independently manage the finance, accounting, statutory HR administration and general office functions of a lean Singapore operation. Key Responsibilities: Finance & Accounting Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations and month/year-end closing Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports Manage payments, invoicing, banking and cash-flow requirements Handle GST and coordinate corporate tax, statutory audit and regulatory filings Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks and corporate secretarial providers Support budgeting, forecasting and financial controls Support trade finance, LC, banking and trade settlement matters where applicable Payroll, CPF & MOM Administration Manage monthly payroll and CPF contributions accurately and on time Handle employee statutory contributions, claims and government submissions Prepare and submit required MOM reports, surveys and manpower information Support work pass applications, renewals and cancellations where required Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Singapore employment requirements Coordinate IR8A and annual employee tax reporting requirements Government Grants: Identify relevant Singapore government grants, incentives and support schemes Manage grant applications, supporting documents and submissions Track grant status, claims, reimbursements and reporting requirements Liaise with relevant government agencies and external advisers Maintain proper documentation for grant compliance and audits Office Administration Manage the day-to-day administration of the Singapore office Coordinate vendors, insurance, service providers and office requirements Support employment contracts, onboarding and offboarding Requirements Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; ACCA/CA/CPA would be advantageous 8–10 years of relevant hands-on finance and accounting experience in Singapore Strong experience handling full set of accounts independently Hands-on knowledge of Singapore payroll and CPF submissions Familiar with MOM reporting, manpower requirements and employment administration Experience managing Singapore government grant applications and claims Good knowledge of GST, corporate tax, statutory audit and regulatory requirements Experience within commodities, metals, physical trading or an international trading company would be advantageous Exposure to trade finance, LC, banking and treasury would be an added advantage Comfortable working independently in a small and lean setup with a broad scope of responsibilities Strong Excel and accounting system skills Detail-oriented, resourceful and able to work with minimal supervision
