A retail chain in the north of the country is recruiting an Import Buyer to manage procurement from overseas suppliers, from sourcing suppliers to the arrival of products at the branches. Includes a car!
Your tasks
Job Description
- Sourcing suppliers and manufacturers abroad and managing the ongoing relationship with them
- Negotiation on prices, payment terms, quantities, delivery times, and trade terms
- Building a product mix according to the chain's needs, market trends, and sales targets
- Demand forecasting, procurement and ordering plans, and inventory management
- Monitoring orders from production to delivery, in coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics
- Import documents, regulation, standardization, and labeling, and analysis of total import costs
- Monitoring product and supplier performance, and reports and recommendations to management
Requirements
- Familiarity with import processes, international shipping, customs, and international trade terms.
- Experience with procurement systems (ERP) and Excel.
- English at a very good level, both speaking and writing.
- Experience in procurement or buying, including import experience - Mandatory.
