Your tasks
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates and detailed budget plans for various construction projects.
- Manage the full tender process including the preparation of bills of quantities and documentation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify that work meets contractual standards.
- Handle all contract administration duties to ensure compliance with legal and project-specific requirements.
- Evaluate and settle sub-contractor progress claims to maintain project cash flow and budget targets.
- Identify potential cost savings and negotiate fair rates with suppliers and various trade contractors.
- Provide expert financial advice to stakeholders regarding project expenditure and overall budget health.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a closely related construction field.
- At least eight years of professional experience in quantity surveying for construction projects.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard estimation software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Solid understanding of building contracts, construction law, and local building regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiating with contractors and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings and engineering specifications accurately.
