Job Description

Position: Structure Design Engineer Location: Chandigarh Company: Jindal Power Corporation

Responsibilities:

✓Develop structural designs and plans for power generation facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes. ✓Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and construction professionals, to integrate structural elements into project designs. ✓Perform structural analysis and simulations to assess the integrity and safety of designs. ✓Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents. ✓Evaluate materials and construction methods to optimize structural efficiency and cost-effectiveness. ✓Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the progress and quality of construction projects. Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing design-related issues. ✓Stay current with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering. ✓Ensure that all designs meet regulatory and environmental requirements. ✓Participate in project meetings and communicate design updates to stakeholders. ✓Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for structural components of projects.

Qualifications:

✓Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred). ✓Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. ✓6 years of experience in structural design engineering, preferably in the power generation sector. ✓Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS), AutoCAD and SolidWork. Strong knowledge of relevant Windload, Nesting, BOM, codes and standards. ✓Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. ✓Ability to work independently and in a team. ✓Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
