Business Development Manager
- Market Development & Target Hotel Acquisition (Core Focus)
A. Research, screen, and prioritize target hotels across Thailand that meet partnership criteria – using online research, industry networks, on‑the‑ground visits, and referrals. B. Proactively identify and approach key decision‑makers (Owners, GMs, Operations Directors, Recreation/F&B Heads) at potential partner hotels. C. Lead the full sales cycle from cold outreach and introductory meetings, through proposal presentation and negotiation, to final contract signing. D. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective hotel partners, tracking progress and continuously following up to drive conversion.
- Client Relationship Building & Industry Intelligence
A. Cultivate strong relationships with key contacts at both target and newly‑signed hotels, laying the foundation for long‑term cooperation. B. Leverage these connections to gather first‑hand market intelligence – including competitor activities, industry trends, and emerging resort developments. C. Stay deeply connected to Thailand's hospitality landscape, identifying shifts and new opportunities before competitors do.
- Sales Performance & Revenue Ownership
A. Take ownership of new hotel acquisition targets and overall business growth metrics for the Thailand market. B. Track and report on BD progress, including leads generated, meetings held, proposals submitted, and contracts secured. C. Analyze market feedback and conversion data to continuously refine targeting and pitching strategies.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration
A. Work closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth handover of newly‑signed hotels for operational setup and launch. B. Provide market feedback and customer insights to help shape product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns. C. Contribute to overall business strategy with market‑level intelligence and competitive analysis.
Qualifications: Thai nationality (this position is for Thai citizens only) Associate degree or above – Hotel Management, Marketing, International Business, or related fields preferred Fluent in English – confident in professional communication with international hotel executives and corporate stakeholders Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or account management – specifically within the Thai hotel/hospitality industry Proven track record in independently driving the full sales cycle – from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing deals Excellent negotiation and presentation skills – able to articulate value propositions clearly and persuasively to senior decision‑makers Strong market intelligence capabilities – ability to gather and leverage industry information through networks and relationships Self‑starter with high initiative – able to work autonomously and consistently meet or exceed targets without close supervision Willing to travel frequently across Thailand for hotel visits and client meetings Must have own private vehicle – essential for frequent travel across multiple provinces (fuel/maintenance allowance provided) Candidates with existing hotel industry resources and established connections within Thailand's hospitality sector are strongly preferred Prior experience in a hotel Recreation/Sports Department is a plus Results‑oriented, resilient, and adaptable – comfortable with rejection and persistent in follow‑up Preferred Background: Candidates who already have their own hotel industry network and contacts – such as direct relationships with hotel owners, GMs, or department heads – are highly encouraged to apply. Hands‑on experience in hotel business development or sales for the Thai market is a significant advantage.
