ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT (ARCHITECTURAL FIRM)

About the company

We are looking for a full-time Assistant to join a growing Singapore design practice that creates innovative building solutions for owners locally and abroad. Working closely with clients, consultants and builders, the firm balances creativity with economic and development considerations to shape distinctive spaces.

Your tasks

What You’ll Do

• Support architects in developing construction plans.
• Prepare drawings and documents for authority submissions, covering building regulations, planning permissions and statutory approvals.
• Keep drawings, plans, client briefs and survey notes well organised.
• Check that work follows relevant guidelines and standards.
• Join meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors on project details.
• Assist with site surveys, measure-ups, material research and coordination with engineers.
• Help present design concepts and track project timelines and deliverables.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Architecture.
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in the industry; industrial or hospitality projects are a plus.
• Knowledge of Singapore building codes and authority requirements.
• Strong technical skills in CAD, 3D modelling and similar design software.
• Problem-solving, critical thinking and sound decision-making, aimed at high-quality, innovative design.
• Clear communication and presentation skills.
• Comfort working in a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive and conscientious approach to work.
