Job Summary
JC Connections Pte Ltd has built over 30 years of experience in structured cabling and computer network cabling in Singapore since its establishment in 1995. The General Manager will oversee the company's overall operations, strengthen the profitability of its existing business (network cabling installation, design, testing & commissioning, maintenance, and server relocation), and drive medium- to long-term business growth in coordination with the Japanese parent company (Compass Inc.).
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
Oversee overall progress of network cabling projects(design, installation, testing & commissioning, maintenance) Maintain construction quality and safety standards; supervise site staff and subcontractors; maintain relationships with existing clients (government agencies, corporate customers, Data centers etc.) and secure new projects
- Financial Management
Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring profitability. Approve quotations and contract terms; negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. Report monthly financial results and performance to the parent company (Japan HQ)
- Team Leadership
Recruit, develop, and evaluate local staff (engineers, sales, administrative personnel). Manage labor affairs and ensure compliance with local Singapore labor regulations. Build a work environment that enables employees to perform at their best
- HQ Coordination & Governance
Provide regular reporting to the Japan headquarters(Compass Inc.) and align on management policy. As a Director of the local entity, ensure compliance and manage statutory documents and licenses/permits. Comply with the parent company's accounting policies and internal control rules
- Strategic Planning
Explore expansion into adjacent areas beyond the corenetwork cabling business (e.g., ICT infrastructure, expanded maintenanceservices) Develop new client relationships and build strategic alliances withpartner companies Formulate business expansion strategies for Singapore and the surrounding region
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information& Communications Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Practical experience in network infrastructure or ICT-related business (field-level through management experience preferred)
- Experience overseeing cross-functional operations (sales, finance, HR, and site management)
- Experience managing an overseas subsidiary of a Japanese company, or reporting to a Japan headquarters, is a plus
- Business-level English communication skills required; ability to report to headquarters in Japanese is a plus
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to take on responsibility as a Director of the local entity
