Your tasks

As a Field Service Engineer, you will combine practical technical work, fault-finding and direct customer contact. International travel is an essential part of this position. You will primarily travel to customer sites across Europe, with occasional trips to the United States and Australia. The travel schedule is expected to involve approximately 50–60% of your working time. Assignments may require you to stay away from home, but consecutive trips away are generally limited to around two to two and a half weeks. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, commissioning and testing industrial machinery and production systems at customer sites;
• Troubleshooting technical faults involving electrical systems, PLC-controlled machinery and automation;
• Reading and interpreting basic electrical schematics to identify components, connections and potential faults;
• Working with PLC-controlled systems without necessarily programming PLCs yourself;
• Carrying out service, maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliable machine performance;
• Supporting customers on-site and remotely, explaining technical issues and helping them find solutions;
