Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates and material take-offs.

Review drawings, specifications and project requirements to determine quantities and costs.

Prepare and evaluate quotations, tenders and project pricing.

Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.

Support procurement by providing accurate quantities and cost information.

Obtain and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Track variations, additional works and changes in project scope.

Assist with project valuations, payment certificates and commercial documentation.

Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial commitments.

Conduct site visits and verify completed works and quantities where required.

Work with project teams to identify potential cost overruns and commercial risks.

Prepare regular cost and commercial reports for management.

Support contract administration and commercial negotiations where required.

Requirements:

Minimum of an HND in Quantity Surveying.

Strong understanding of construction costing and measurement.

Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings.

Good knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs.

Strong Excel and numerical analysis skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Good negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work with suppliers, contractors, and project teams.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Experience with aluminium, roofing, windows, doors, or building-material projects is an advantage.
