CHINESE TRANSLATOR – POWER ENGINEERING COMPANY

Requirements

Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is mandatory. Diploma or Degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, Business, or a related field is an added advantage. Previous experience as a Chinese Translator/Interpreter , preferably in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, power, or technical environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technical and business terminology accurately. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Key Responsibilities

Translate verbal and written communication between Chinese and English accurately. Facilitate communication during meetings, site visits, training, and daily operations. Translate technical documents, reports, contracts, emails, manuals, and correspondence. Assist Chinese management and technical teams in communicating with local staff and clients. Interpret during negotiations, presentations, and business discussions. Ensure translated information maintains the correct meaning, tone, and technical context. Assist with communication between the company and Chinese suppliers, contractors, and partners. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and business information. Perform other translation and administrative duties as assigned.
