Based on Article 134 and Article 207 of the Nature Protection Act (NN 80/13, 15/18, 14/19, 127/19, 155/23), Article 16 and Article 50 of the Statute of the Public Institution for Management of Protected Areas and Other Protected Parts of Nature of Šibenik-Knin County – Priroda and the Decisions of the Governing Board of the Public Institution for Management of Protected Areas and Other Protected Parts of Nature of Šibenik-Knin County – Priroda on the need to establish an employment relationship for the position of Nature Guardian III. class - 1 executor, for a fixed term, from September 02, 2026, the Governing Board of the Public Institution for Management of Protected Areas and Other Protected Parts of Nature of Šibenik-Knin County – Priroda announces

for the position of Nature Guardian III. class - 1 executor,
for a fixed term, for the duration of the implementation of the EU project „Improved management of target habitats and species in Šibenik-Knin County“, with a probationary period of up to 3 months
Requirements:
- SSS – natural sciences, economics, tourism, technical, administrative professions, gymnasium or other corresponding professions,
- medical fitness to perform the duties of a nature guardian,
- Croatian citizenship,
- one year of professional work experience,
- passed professional exam or the obligation to pass it within one year,
- knowledge of the English language,
- B category driver's license,
- advantage: passed boat skipper exam,
- knowledge of working on a PC,
- probationary period up to 3 months
Candidates are required to submit:
- a hand-signed application,
- a CV with educational data and a description of previous work,
- proof of the required professional qualification (copy of certificate),
- proof of Croatian citizenship (copy of domicile, valid passport or ID card),
- proof of the required professional work experience (confirmation or electronic record of employment status (e-radna knjižica) issued by the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute),
- a copy of the certificate of the passed professional exam for a nature guardian,
- proof of knowledge of the English language (copy of certificate, index, certificate of completed course or a hand-signed statement of knowledge of the English language),
- proof of knowledge of working on a PC (copy of certificate, index, certificate of completed course or a hand-signed statement of knowledge of working on a PC),
- proof of B category driver's license (copy of a valid driver's license),
- proof of passed skipper exam (copy of a valid license/document for a boat skipper),
- a certificate from a competent court that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate, not older than 6 months from the date of the announcement,
- a hand-signed statement that there are no obstacles to employment in accordance with Article 207, paragraph 5 of the Nature Protection Act (NN 80/13, 15/18, 14/19, 127/19, 155/23).
Candidates who have not passed the professional exam for a nature guardian may also apply, provided they pass it no later than one year from the date of employment.
Obstacles to employment as a nature guardian are prescribed in Article 207, paragraph 5 of the Nature Protection Act (NN 80/13, 15/18, 14/19, 127/19, 155/23).
In the application for the public job posting, it is necessary to state the personal data of the applicant (first name, date and place of birth, residential address, telephone number and, if possible, email address and the name of the job position they are applying for) which, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation („Narodne novine broj“ 42/18), will be processed exclusively for the purposes of the job posting implementation.
Documents are submitted as copies, and the selected candidate is obliged to present the original requested documents before signing the Employment Contract.
Persons of both sexes may apply in accordance with Art. 13 of the Act on Gender Equality (NN 82/08, NN 69/17).
The employee is hired for a fixed term, for the duration of the implementation of the EU project „Improved management of target habitats and species in Šibenik-Knin County“, the duration of which project is planned until June 2029, with full-time employment, with a probationary period of up to 3 months.
A candidate who exercises the right of priority in employment according to a special law is obliged in the job application to refer to that right and, in addition to proof of meeting the required conditions from the job posting, to attach the documentation prescribed by law; the candidate has the right of priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

Candidates who refer to the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities („Narodne novine“ number 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20) must, along with the application, attach the appropriate public document on disability based on which the person can be entered into the register of employed persons with disabilities, as well as proof showing how the employment relationship with the last employer ended (solution, decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

A person who has not submitted a timely and regular application or does not meet the formal requirements of the public job posting is not considered a candidate applied for the job posting.
With candidates who meet the formal requirements of the job posting for the given position, a preliminary check of the candidates' knowledge and abilities will be conducted through an oral interview and/or written testing, and knowledge of the English language will be checked.
Candidates are obliged to undergo the check of knowledge and abilities. A candidate who does not attend the preliminary check of knowledge and abilities is considered to have withdrawn their application for the public job posting and is no longer considered a candidate.
The time for holding the check of knowledge and abilities will be published on the website of the Public Institution Priroda Šibenik-Knin County https://priroda-skz.hr/ at least five days before the check is held.

The candidate/candidate who achieves the highest total number of points in the check of knowledge and abilities will be called to submit a certificate of medical fitness for performing the duties of the position of Nature Guardian III. class before the Decision on Selection is made, in accordance with Article 207 of the Nature Protection Act (NN 80/13, 15/18, 14/19, 127/19, 155/23).
Candidates will be notified of the selection made within 45 days from the date of the decision.
The Public Institution for Management of Protected Areas and Other Protected Parts of Nature of Šibenik-Knin County - Priroda reserves the right to cancel the job posting without explanation.
