11. Associate in the II.a Department of protection and conservation - 1 executor for an indefinite period

Job requirements:

  • level 7.1.sv or 7.1.st HKO in the scientific field of natural sciences, field of biology or interdisciplinary natural sciences,
  • at least 1 year of work experience in corresponding jobs,
  • knowledge of the English language,
  • knowledge of working on a personal computer,
  • possession of a category B driving license.

Along with a hand-signed application for the competition stating the personal data of the applicant (name, surname, residential address, telephone number, and email address), the applicant is obliged to state the position for which they are applying and its sequence number, and to attach:

  • CV,
  • copy of a certificate/diploma,
  • proof of Croatian citizenship (copy of identity card or domovnica),
  • proof of work experience (electronic record, i.e., a certificate with data recorded in the database of the Hrvatski zavod za mirovinsko osiguranje, a copy of the employment contract or a certificate from the employer regarding the type and duration of the jobs performed and the period in which the candidate performed the stated jobs),
  • a certificate obtained from a competent court or the e-Građani system that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate (not older than one month from the date of publication of the competition in Narodne novine),
  • proof of knowledge of the English language,
  • copy of the driving license.

Candidates who invoke the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their family members (Narodne novine, no. 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23), and who at the time of submitting the application fulfill the conditions for exercising that right, are obliged to attach to the application all proofs of fulfilling the requested conditions from the public call and proofs for exercising the right of priority in employment. A candidate who invokes the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Narodne novine no. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18, 32/20) is obliged, along with the application for the competition, to attach, in addition to proof of fulfilling the requested conditions, also proof of the established status of a person with a disability.

Candidates who invoke the right of priority in employment in accordance with Articles 3, 48, 49, and 50 of the Act on Civil Victims of the Homeland War (Narodne novine, no. 84/21, 13/26), and who at the time of submitting the application fulfill the conditions for exercising that right, are obliged to attach to the application all proofs of fulfilling the requested conditions from the public call and proofs for exercising the right of priority in employment. A candidate who invokes the right of priority in employment pursuant to Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civil War Disabled Persons (Narodne novine number 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), along with the application for the competition, in addition to proof of fulfilling the requested conditions, is obliged to attach the decision on the recognized status, or the certificate of recognized status from which the mentioned right is visible, a statement that they have not used the right of priority in employment on that basis so far, and proof from which it is visible in what way the employment relationship ended with the last employer (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

A candidate belonging to a national minority has the right to invoke priority in employment based on Article 22 of the Constitutional Act on the Rights of National Minorities (Narodne novine number 155/02, 47/10, 80/10 and 93/11 – Decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia), without the obligation to submit proof of national affiliation.

By applying for the public competition, the candidate gives consent for the collection and processing of personal data stated in the application, as well as the documentation submitted with the application, for the purpose of selecting candidates and consent to the delivery of notification of the results which is delivered to all candidates, including the name and surname of the candidate and their profession. Collected personal data will be processed in accordance with the applicable regulations, i.e., with EU Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Narodne novine no. 42/18).

The selection competition is conducted by a Commission appointed by the Director of the Institution. The Commission for the implementation of the competition determines the list of candidates who fulfill the formal conditions from the competition and conducts the competition procedure. Based on the results of the conducted procedure, the Commission will propose to the Director the selection of candidates for the stated positions.

A candidate who does not attend the interview is considered to have withdrawn from the competition for the position.

The public competition will be published in Narodne novine, Hrvatski zavod za zapošljavanje (https://burzarada.hzz.hr), and on the web pages of the Public Institution Park prirode Učka (http://www.pp-ucka.hr).

Applications with proof of fulfilling the conditions from the competition are submitted in person or by registered mail within 8 (eight) days from the publication of the competition in ''Narodne novine'' to the address: Javna ustanova Park prirode Učka, Poklon 8, Vela Učka, 51410 Opatija, with the note: „Ne otvaraj – natječaj za zapošljavanje – naziv radnog mjesta i redni broj radnog mjesta“ (e.g., „Ne otvaraj – natječaj za zapošljavanje – Suradnik, redni broj 11.“).

A valid application is considered an application that contains all the requested documentation stated in the public competition. Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered, and candidates will be informed about the selection no later than 45 days from the expiration of the deadline for submitting applications.

The public institution reserves the right to cancel the competition.
