Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa – Lieksa

Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa is a small restaurant operating in Lieksa, where we offer our customers, among other things, Chinese dishes, hamburgers, French fries, and other grill foods.

We are looking for a Chinese cuisine chef / restaurant worker for a full-time, permanent employment relationship.

Job duties

The work is diverse restaurant work. The main task is the preparation of Chinese dishes, but the employee also participates in other daily tasks of the restaurant.

Job duties include, among other things:

• preparation of Chinese dishes

• handling, cutting, and pre-preparation of ingredients

• preparation of cold dishes and hot dishes

• independent cooking for larger numbers of customers

• design and development of approximately 4–5 new Chinese dishes annually

• development of the Chinese menu together with the employer

• preparation of hamburgers, French fries, and other grill foods

• cashier work and customer service

• dishwashing

• cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and restaurant

• organizing and replenishing ingredients and other products

• other daily work tasks of a small restaurant

The work is therefore not limited solely to Chinese cooking. The employee must be ready to work flexibly also in the kitchen, at the register, in customer service, and in cleaning tasks.

What we expect from the applicant

• experience in Chinese cooking

• the ability to prepare Chinese dishes independently from start to finish

• good practical skills in handling ingredients, pre-preparation, and cooking

• the ability to cook for larger numbers of customers

• interest in designing and developing new Chinese dishes

• thoroughness, responsibility, and good work motivation

• good hygiene and consideration of food safety

• flexibility and readiness to perform various restaurant work tasks

• good ability to cooperate

Previous work experience in the restaurant and kitchen sector is considered an advantage.

Employment relationship

• Nature of employment: permanent

• Working hours: full-time, according to the applicable collective agreement

• Estimated start of work: February 2027

• Workplace: Lieksan Sataman Grillitupa, Braheentie 14, 81700 Lieksa

• Working languages: English and Chinese

• Salary: Salary according to the MaRa–PAM collective agreement, taking into account the employee's previous work experience suitable for the position

Annual operations of the restaurant

Our restaurant is completely closed during December and January. During this time, there is no operation or work tasks in the restaurant.

The employment relationship also continues during the restaurant's annual closing period. The arrangements for the closing period and any potential temporary layoff will be implemented in accordance with current legislation and the MaRa–PAM collective agreement.

Employment benefits

The employee is offered a staff meal during working days.
