Role Description The IELTS Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abeokuta. The individual in this role will prepare and deliver IELTS lessons, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking modules, to learners of varying proficiency levels. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting practice tests, monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback to help learners reach target scores. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, collaborating with colleagues to improve curricula, and staying updated on IELTS exam formats and best teaching practices. The IELTS Teacher will support a professional learning environment that reflects the company’s values of diligence, integrity, and excellence.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with proven experience delivering English language or test-preparation courses. Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and Training activities tailored to different learner needs and levels. Excellent Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery and supportive feedback to learners. Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certifications such as TESOL, TOEFL, or CELTA are an advantage. Prior experience preparing learners for IELTS or similar standardized English proficiency tests is highly beneficial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage classroom dynamics in an on-site setting.
