Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.

Asset languages: English, Middle (1100-1500).

Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio.

Tasks:

• Advise clients on beauty care treatments.
• Analyze hair and scalp condition.
• Book appointments.
• Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences.
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
• Shampoo customers' hair.
• Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
• Supervise other hair stylists and other staff.
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair.
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair.
• Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences.
• Maintain and order supplies.
• Train or arrange for training.
• Conduct training sessions.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hairstylist Trade Certification.

Hair colouring techniques: Dyes/tints. Frosting. Streaking/highlights.
