Commercial Support Administrator – Quotations & Purchasing
Great with quotations, confident with customers and happiest when you’re keeping everything organised?
This could be your next move.
We’re recruiting a Commercial Support Administrator for an established manufacturing business in Wythenshawe. This is a varied role where you’ll support quotations, purchasing and day-to-day office activities, working with colleagues across the business to keep things moving.
If you’ve helped prepare quotations, followed up supplier enquiries or supported a busy commercial team, we’d love to hear from you.
The role
You’ll be an important link between colleagues, customers and suppliers, making sure information is accurate, queries are answered and tasks are followed through. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the preparation and processing of quotations, checking information carefully for accuracy.
- Assisting with purchase orders and maintaining accurate records.
- Liaising with suppliers about order queries, delivery dates and late deliveries.
- Monitoring the supply chain inbox and responding to enquiries.
- Handling customer and supplier queries by telephone and email.
- Providing administrative support across departments and helping the office run smoothly.
What you’ll bring
We’re particularly keen to hear from applicants who have prepared or supported quotations for products, services or customer projects within a business.
You’ll also bring:
- Good administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence speaking with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- The ability to prioritise a varied workload and see tasks through.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- A proactive, practical approach and a willingness to help where needed.
- The confidence to work independently while being a supportive team member.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering or a similar commercial environment would be useful, although it isn’t essential. Training will be provided on the company’s systems and processes, with opportunities to develop your knowledge of purchasing and finance.
What’s on offer?
- £25,000–£30,000 salary , depending on experience.
- One day working from home each week.
- 25 days’ annual leave, plus an additional day for your birthday.
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme.
- Free on-site parking and convenient Metrolink and bus links.
- Cycle to Work, technology and Motorsave schemes, plus instant discounts.
- One paid volunteering day each year with the company’s charity partner.
- Company events and opportunities to broaden your skills.
