Jacob Decker is a newly established financial markets company building its inaugural operations team.
We are creating a disciplined, technology-driven environment focused on financial market analysis, structured execution, responsible risk management, and professional development.
Our first Abuja cohort will consist of five Graduate Trainee – Financial Markets Analysts who will receive structured training, professional trading technology, ongoing development, and access to U.S.-based mentors .
Our corporate website and broader digital presence are currently under development as we prepare for the commencement of operations.
About the Role:
We are seeking intelligent, analytical, disciplined, and highly teachable graduates to join our inaugural team in Abuja.
Previous professional trading experience is not required.
As a Graduate Trainee – Financial Markets Analyst, you will be trained to analyze global financial markets, understand international market sessions, apply structured risk-management principles, and participate in a professional market-analysis and execution environment.
We are more interested in how you think, learn, manage responsibility, and follow a disciplined process than in how many trading strategies you already know.
What You Will Do
- Monitor global financial markets during assigned market sessions.
- Analyze market conditions and price movements.
- Learn and apply Jacob Decker's market-analysis and execution framework.
- Identify opportunities according to established criteria.
- Prepare structured trade plans.
- Participate in trade execution and monitoring following appropriate training and authorization.
- Operate strictly within established risk parameters.
- Maintain accurate trading journals and performance records.
- Participate in market reviews, training, coaching, and mentorship sessions.
- Review completed decisions and trades to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other analysts while maintaining individual accountability.
At Jacob Decker, capital protection comes before profit targets.
Employees will never be expected to violate established risk limits or force trades simply to achieve a performance target.

A Different Kind of Working Day
This is not designed as a conventional eight-hour desk role .
Financial markets operate through international sessions, so working schedules are structured around assigned market sessions, responsibilities, training requirements, and objectives.
We value performance, discipline, and responsible execution rather than unnecessary desk time .
Once assigned responsibilities have been properly completed, employees are not required to remain at their desks merely to complete arbitrary working hours.
Flexibility, however, never overrides our risk-management standards.

Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates may complete assessments covering numerical reasoning, analytical thinking, attention to detail, logical reasoning, situational judgment, risk awareness, and ability to follow instructions.
Selected candidates will then proceed through structured interviews and may complete a practical scenario-based assessment before final selection.
