Role Description The Home Care Provider is a full-time, on-site role based in Ado Ekiti, responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care to seniors in their homes. Day-to-day duties include assisting with personal care routines, mobility support, medication reminders, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment. The role also involves offering companionship, engaging clients in light recreational activities, and monitoring changes in health or behavior to report to supervisors or clinical partners. The Home Care Provider will follow established care plans, document daily activities and observations, and collaborate with families and the Ivy Cares team to ensure consistent, dignified elder care. This position requires reliability, discretion, and a strong commitment to respectful, culturally sensitive support.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong caregiving and elder care skills, with a genuine commitment to supporting seniors’ comfort and dignity. Candidates should possess home care and personal care skills, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and safety in the home environment. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, active listening, and clear communication with clients and families. Candidates should ideally have prior experience in professional care, nursing assistance, or related fields, and familiarity with basic health monitoring (e.g., vital signs, medication reminders). Candidates should possess the ability to follow structured care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to safety and confidentiality standards. A relevant certification in caregiving, nursing assistance, or community health is beneficial; fluency in English and local languages is an added advantage. Candidates should be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, and be physically able to assist with mobility and manual handling tasks.
