Overview

ITGoals is seeking a results-driven ETL Developer with 1-3 years of professional experience to join our technology delivery team. The ETL Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting data integration and transformation processes across enterprise systems. The role involves working with multiple data sources, building reliable ETL pipelines, transforming and validating data, troubleshooting data issues, and supporting data warehouse and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL fundamentals, practical ETL experience, and a solid understanding of data integration concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data across different systems.
• Build and support reliable data pipelines based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformation logic.
• Integrate data from relational databases, files, APIs, and other enterprise data sources.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, cleansing, and quality checks.
• Monitor ETL jobs and investigate failed or incomplete data loads.
• Troubleshoot performance, data integrity, and transformation issues.
• Support data warehouse, reporting, analytics, and downstream application requirements.
• Optimize ETL processes and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation covering data flows, mappings, transformations, and dependencies.
• Work closely with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business teams.
• Participate in testing, deployment, production support, and issue resolution.
• Follow development, version-control, and change-management standards

Required Experience and Skills

• 1-3 years of professional experience in ETL development, data integration, or data engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting ETL processes.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Understanding of data transformation, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
• Experience troubleshooting data and ETL processing issues.
• Understanding of data warehousing and database concepts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ETL technologies such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases.
• Basic knowledge of Python for data processing or automation.
• Experience with APIs and different data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, and flat files.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, data marts, or enterprise data warehouses.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar development tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience supporting production data pipelines.

BANKING / FINTECH ADVANTAGE

Experience within banking, fintech, payments, financial services, or other regulated enterprise environments is a strong advantage.
