POSITION: Mainframe Developer

Work location: 100% remote

Start: ASAP

Cooperation form: B2B with ITFS

Rate: 140-170 PLN/h + VAT

Recruitment process: Short phone call with an ITFS recruiter -> Interview with the HR team -> Interview with the Team Lead / Technical Expert -> Decision.

Daily tasks

• Development and maintenance of key business systems based on IBM Mainframe technologies,
• Designing, creating, and implementing advanced business applications supporting daily operations,
• Analysis of business requirements as well as independent design and implementation of solutions,
• Optimization of performance, reliability, and security of application processes,
• Resolving production issues and optimizing existing applications,
• Performing on-call duties according to the team schedule (approximately one week per month in 24/7 mode).

Requirements

Min. 3 years of commercial experience in creating and maintaining applications on the IBM Mainframe platform,

Very good knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, and z/OS,

Practical knowledge of DB2 databases, including creating SQL queries, their optimization, and data analysis,

Ability to analyze business requirements as well as independent design and implementation of solutions,

Experience in diagnosing production problems and optimizing applications,

Independence, proactivity, and responsibility for performed tasks,

Excellent communication skills and work in an international project environment,

English language proficiency at a minimum B1 level.

Nice to have:

Experience working with Git, Bitbucket tools, and CI/CD practices in Mainframe environments,

Knowledge of Mainframe environment modernization initiatives and solutions based on artificial intelligence,

Experience in mentoring and supporting junior developers.

Must have: IBM Mainframe, COBOL, jcl, cics, db2, SQL
