Cloud Network Engineer

Work location: 100% remote (occasional business trips to Germany) Start: up to 2 weeks notice period (longer notice period to be considered) Cooperation form: B2B with ITFS Rate: 140-160 PLN/h + VAT Recruitment process: Short phone call with ITFS recruiter -> Soft-technical interview with the Client -> Interview with the end Client -> Decision.

Daily tasks

• Supporting the development of an efficient and stable cloud platform based on OpenStack, with a particular focus on the networking area
• Participating in open source projects, including Open vSwitch, OVN, Linux Kernel and OpenStack, through the development of cloud networking functionality, performance improvement, and bug fixing
• Performing detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis of problems to develop lasting solutions
• Ensuring effective automation and continuous optimization of technical processes
• Implementing comprehensive observability using metrics, tracing, and structured logging for rapid debugging and performance analysis

Requirements

• Min. 4 years of experience in a similar position
• Solid experience working with Linux and containerization, including Kubernetes and Docker
• Practical experience with Software Defined Networking technologies, such as Open vSwitch/OVN and Calico
• Proficiency in programming and scripting, especially in C/C++, Python, and Bash
• Experience working with virtualization and containerization environments and knowledge of their practical applications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and an organized approach to diagnosing and resolving issues
• English language proficiency at a minimum B2+/C1 level

• Communicative German language skills
