Java Back-End Developer

IT House is looking for a Java Back-End Developer for a direct placement with an end client in the Transport & Logistics sector, located in Porto .

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of a next-generation transport management platform;
• Apply modern methods, tools and technologies to deliver impactful projects;
• Develop new and modernized components using container technology, suitable databases and cloud services;
• Act as a technical reference within the community, contributing innovative ideas across the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience as a developer;
• Extensive experience developing Java-based backend applications;
• Good knowledge of the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot;
• Experience developing RESTful web services and APIs;
• Solid knowledge of databases (SQL, Hibernate and JPA);
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) is an advantage;
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable;
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured way of working;
• Good English skills and ability to collaborate in an agile environment.
