Accounts Executive

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Accounts Executive to manage daily accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end closings, and effective use of SAP and other IT tools to support business operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including submitting consolidation packages to ensure accurate and timely financial completion
• Perform daily accounting tasks such as managing receivables and payables, general ledger entries, tax calculations, and bank reconciliations
• Enter accurate and timely financial data into the SAP system to maintain data integrity
• Maintain precise financial records and statements for internal and external use
• Prepare weekly cash flow reports to support financial planning
• Prepare quarterly GST submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Send monthly statements of account to customers and follow up on collections to optimize cash flow
• Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and annual budgets to guide business strategy
• Support audit and tax queries by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Liaise with banks to manage banking transactions efficiently
• Manage timely closing processes and reconciliations, including intercompany transactions, to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Retrieve and analyze system reports from accounting software for management decision-making
• Utilize relevant IT systems and tools effectively to perform data analysis and enhance reporting accuracy

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic environment
• Experience with SAP accounting software is advantageous
