Java Backend Developer Apprenticeship - Rennes (M/F)

ISCOD, a specialist in Digital Learning training, is looking for a Java Backend Developer for its partner company, which specializes in the design of a platform facilitating various trading activities, to prepare for one of our state-recognized degree programs, from level 4 to level 7 (Bac, Bac+2, Bachelor/Bac+3 or Mastère/Bac+5). MISSIONS

• Develop and maintain our product code by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets software development standards
• Work closely with other team members to design new features and improvements
• Bring your technical expertise to propose, simplify, and challenge solutions
• Participate in code reviews and testing to guarantee the quality of code and features
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our agile development process
• Collaborate with other company teams (in France and internationally) to promote best practices
• A multi-process application of several million lines in Java for the core of our product
• Specific components in Scala via a platform integrated into our product for specific developments
• In certain parts of our product, you may encounter other technologies such as Typescript, React, Kafka, ELK Stack, ...
• Tens of thousands of unit and integration tests launched with every push to our continuous integration servers (Gitlab).

SEARCH PROFILE You are the ideal candidate if:

• You have knowledge of object-oriented programming (ideally in Java) and commonly associated tools and frameworks (Git, JUnit, ...),
• Ideally, you have already implemented or participated in IT projects (personal, internships, or university) using the Java programming language or an object-oriented language,
• Qualities such as curiosity, autonomy, and team spirit,
• You speak technical English (reading technical specifications, writing code and documentation in English, participating in meetings),
• Knowledge of the Scrum methodology and knowledge of Scala, Docker, SQL are a plus.
• You are eligible for a Bac+2 to Bac+5 training program (degree validated or in the process of being validated)
• Position based in Rennes (35700)
• Remuneration according to level of study + age. Training 100% covered by the company.
