Our well-established clients in Woodstock are currently hiring both Junior Welders and Senior Welder/Fitters. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a custom fabrication shop environment are encouraged to apply. Location: Woodstock, ON
Current Openings (6)
- 1 MIG Welder - Afternoon shift (3:30pm-2am Mon-Thurs)
- 3 MIG Welders – Day shift (7am-3:30pm Mon-Fri)
- 2 Aluminum MIG or TIG Welders – Day shift (6:30am-4pm or 5am-2:30pm Mon-Fri)
Pay & Benefits
- Pay range: $24–$32/hour, with room to grow once hired
- Opportunities for overtime
- Benefits after probation period
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years MIG or TIG welding experience
- Strong blueprint reading skills from shop drawings and engineered drawings
- Strong knowledge of fit-up procedures
- Strong understanding of weld symbols and CWB welding procedures
- Experience fitting small and large weldments freehand reading and welding from blueprints and shop prints
- Ability to accurately read and use measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, and levels
- Ability to identify weld defects and non-conforming parts
- Experience setting up and operating MIG welding equipment for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Experience with custom fabrication and adapting to customer-specific requirements
Preferred Skills & Assets
- Experience using cutting torches and handheld plasma equipment
- Forklift operation experience
- Overhead crane operation experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting
