For our client in the energy technology sector, we are looking for an experienced Design Engineer (m/f/d) at the Berlin location as soon as possible.
The focus of the activity lies in the design development and implementation of sensor applications for the validation of gas turbines in experimental operation. You will develop technical solutions for the integration of sensors on gas turbines and their components and accompany the implementation from the initial concept idea to the complete technical product definition.
Furthermore, you will design cable routing and support the placement of peripheral and auxiliary systems within a complex test field environment.
Your Tasks
- Development of technical concepts for design solutions
- Creation of model designs and special constructions
- Design support for the implementation of test measurement points on gas turbines and their components
- Development of solutions for sensor application and special instrumentation
- Execution of adaptation and modification designs
- Creation and maintenance of complex 3D-CAD models
- Creation of 3D models including PMI
- Creation of 2D drawings as well as overview and installation drawings
- Creation and maintenance of bills of materials
- Execution of risk and feasibility assessments
- Placement of gas turbines and plant components in the test field, taking into account the existing infrastructure
- Execution of complex collision investigations and space requirement checks
- Coordination with manufacturing and external suppliers regarding manufacturability and technical feasibility
- Execution of technical coordination and space requirement checks on-site
Your Profile
- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline, at least at Bachelor level
- Ideally a study focus in the field of design
- At least five years of professional experience in mechanical or plant engineering
- Very good knowledge in 3D design with Siemens NX
- Experience in handling large and complex 3D assemblies
- Knowledge in the creation of 2D drawings, 3D-PMI models, and bills of materials
- Ideally experience in the design of turbomachinery
- Knowledge in the field of measurement technology or sensor integration is an advantage
- Knowledge in Creo is desirable, especially for the transfer or modification of individual assemblies
- Good English skills in speaking and writing
- Structured, independent, and responsible way of working
- Strong technical understanding and solution-oriented thinking
- Ability to process complex design tasks independently
